Rooted in Texas, Crafted for community

Our Story

We are a family-owned operation committed to brewing exceptional beer with carefully selected ingredients, bringing you the freshest, most flavorful pours in town.

What started as a shared passion between owners Jacob and Bryan back in 2013 has evolved into a dedicated craft. Opening our doors at the very start of the pandemic in March 2020 wasn’t easy, but it taught us the true value of resilience and community. Today, we’re proud to have built a fantastic team that treats you like family the second you walk through the door.

From A.M. Espresso to P.M. Pints

We built this space to be your ultimate neighborhood gathering spot—where everyone is welcome. Whether you're fueling up for the day or winding down, we’ve got something on tap for you:

  • Craft Beer & More: Enjoy our staple house brews, rotating guest taps, hand-selected wines, and refreshing non-alcoholic options.

  • The Coffee Bar: Our expert barista crew serves up premium coffee and signature espresso drinks Monday through Friday from 7 AM – 3 PM, and weekends from 7 AM – 12 PM.

Barking Rights

We don't mean to bark our own horn, but local love tastes pretty darn good. Thanks to our amazing community, Barking Armadillo Brewing and Coffee House has been piling up some awards over the years!

Jacob and amanda

Founders, Owners, Head Brewer

Jacob went from dialing in batches in the garage as a homebrewer to leading the brewhouse as owner and head brewer—bringing relentless precision, total dedication, and zero tolerance for bad beer. Amanda is a licensed pharmacist by day, so between the two of them, they literally hold the master keys to liquid chemistry and proper dosing.

Julia

Event and Coffee shop Manager

Hardworking, organized, and armed with effortless British charm, Julia is the heart and soul behind our coffee shop and events. While her official title is Event & Coffee Shop Manager, everyone knows the truth: she’s the secret boss who keeps the entire place running smoothly. Whether she’s crafting the perfect espresso or orchestrating an incredible event, Julia does it all with a warm smile and quiet authority. We’d be completely lost without her—and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Sarah

Marketing and Social Media Director

Who is the mastermind behind every flyer, story time, daily post, and sweet new shirt in the taproom?
Meet Sarah our Marketing & Social Media Director. When she isn’t busy designing merch she is also setting up our VIP events or filling in as one of our Beertenders.

When she’s not keeping our brand looking good and pouring pints in a pinch, you’ll find her looking for the pen she's currently holding. We keep her around because she’s brilliant, funny, and we constantly need to check on what she’s about to bump into next.

Behind him, there are shelves with coffee mugs, glasses, and bags of coffee beans, and a digital menu screen displaying drink options. The background wall is decorated with numerous brewery and beer stickers and signs.

If you're looking for a hug with your Hefe, keep moving. Don is our resident ray of sunshine—a title we use with maximum sarcasm. Direct, funny, and possessing an unmoving poker face, Don is about efficiency, not pleasantries. He won't try to be your best friend, but he will ensure your glass is perfectly filled with minimal chatter. He’s customer-focused in the most pragmatic sense possible: you get the right beer, right now, with no extra fluff. We value him for his absolute lack of sugar-coating.

Named after the rich, dark brew we love so much, Porter is our resident high-energy tail-waggor and official brewery mascot. As owner Jacob’s faithful sidekick, he takes his job very seriously, which mostly running around the patio, greeting every guest like a long-lost best friend, and ensuring no fallen pretzel goes un-cleared. If you spot a blur of excitement trotting past your table, that’s just Porter doing his rounds!

David

Beertender, Sales Rep and Chief Dog Greeter

If you walk through our doors with a four-legged friend, don't take it personally when David completely ignores you for the first 30 seconds—he has priorities. David operates on a "pets first, humans second" policy, and honestly, we can't argue with his methods.

Outgoing, funny, and customer-focused, David is the heart of the taproom floor. He’ll make sure your glass is full, your dog gets top-tier belly rubs, and you leave with a smile. Just remember: if you want his attention right away, bringing a pup is practically a cheat code.

While the rest of us are busy talking about beer, Greg is in the back actually making it happen. As our back-of-house powerhouse, Greg handles the unglamorous, heavy-lifting dirty work that keeps the taproom running: scrubbing tanks, hauling grain, and helping build every single batch from scratch. No Greg, no beer. It’s as simple as that!

Sarah | The Potion Master
If coffee and beer were health potions, Sarah would be our head apothecary. She handles both the espresso machine and the taps like a seasoned pro. Outside of keeping everyone hydrated and happy, Sarah is an anime fan and dedicated D&D player. Stop by, grab a drink, and feel free to ask her about her latest campaign, just be prepared to roll for initiative!
